Berks County Housing Authority in 2024 was awarded the YHSI grant.

This grant allowed the three CoCs to come together and work alongside three local Youth Action Boards that they helped create.

As a partner the three CoC support the local YAB to continue with the work needed in the community utilizing the funding awarded

In 2022 through 2025 the National Runaway SafeLine and Berks Collab partnered to assist the YAB as a much helpful support for the young people. This secured hygiene kits, informational resources, and other much-needed support. All with the collaboration of their own YAB and the current YAB members. Even noting a current member of our YAB received the National Youth Ambassadors Award of 2023 from the NRS for the work the YAB member had done within the city of Reading for Berks Collab and the county of Berks.

Why just a logo when we can share a support?

Lillan Cowan photo was used  during November of 2024 for Youth Hope Month. Showcasing the talent and growth of the work our young people in this country can do! Ejay Velez poems where attached and shown with Lillans art work.
